Password Reset Utility User’s Guide
(see also "Forgot Password Process")

A new feature has been added to the SleepMed Web portal which allows users to reset their own passwords.  To enable this feature, users must provide additional personal security information so that their identity can be verified when their password is forgotten.

NOTE: If your account has been locked or deactivated please contact Customer Support. The following instructions cannot be performed unless you are successfully logged into your user account.

Setting Up Personal Security Information

Personal security information can be added after logging into the portal by selecting the “Manage Security Questions” option from the “Utilities” menu, under the “Manage Profile” section (see Figure 1).  If personal security information is not provided, users will be redirected to the page after their next successful password change.

On the “Manage Security Questions” form, users will be asked to enter an email address, provide two pieces of personal information, and answer three security questions (see Figure 2).  This information will be used to verify user identity, should they choose to initiate a password reset request.

Once this information is provided, a “Forgot Password” will appear on the login page when a user has trouble logging into the portal.  Following this link will allow users to make password reset requests, and further instructions on how to reset their password will be emailed to the user.
